Summer

Summer is the first foal ever born at Fieldstone Farm. Born Aug. 5, 2022, she was quite a surprise as we only learned that her mom, Rose, was pregnant about a month prior to her birth. Summer, like her mom, is a Suffolk Punch, a rare and sturdy breed. Her full name is Summer’s Surprise, aptly named by one of our instructors. She is a gentle girl and extremely social and curious. She is currently in training under saddle to become part of our therapeutic riding program. Since she has spent most of her life at Fieldstone, she has had the benefit of being around all the people at the farm which is one of the best environments for her future career. As she continues to receive training, our hope is that when she is old enough, she will be a wonderful addition to both our therapeutic riding and driving programs, just like her mother is.
